A FLOWER STORY
By Mia Stewart
Grade 10

Day by day I sit and wait.
People pass, seasons change, life goes on.
My name is Rose; I am bright red with the most beautiful petals you’ve ever seen.
I love the sun and rain; they are my friends.
I love it when the rain falls on me; I feel refreshed and alive.
Then when the sun comes out, I get the greatest tan of my life.
I like that I make people happy.
Whether it’s having my petals picked, given to a girlfriend, getting put in peoples hair; I love seeing people with a smile.
So day by day I wait.
People pass, seasons change, life goes on and forever I’ll stay.
