From the time the groudhog sees its shadow,
We humans excitedly foreshadow
What we're going to do this spring break
And how we're going to go to the beach or the lake.
With all this activity happening in our lives
We sometimes forget to ask ourselves, "What really is wise?"
That is, wise for the planet, and Mother Nature, too
As we go frolic in meadows with cows that crow "moo".
Yes, it's springtime my friends, but don't go too crazy,
Just follow these guidelines, you won't be deemed lazy:
The weather's so nice, ride a bike or walk that mile
Instead of hitching a ride from your best friend Kyle.
After your picnic, clean up all your trash
So that the animals won't eat anything weird from your springtime bash.
And lastly, make sure to ask yourself a question, and your friends, too,
What Would Mother Nature Do?
Now the weather's getting warmer, so stop wasting time
And go out with your friends to enjoy the sunshine!
