| Has anyone ever thought of the consequences of using up so much of our Earth's natural resources and throwing greenhouses gases into the atmosphere? People should know that sooner or later we're going to have to pay for all the damage we've done to Earth, from all the logging of trees to all the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. When we use cars, it releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and carbon dioxide causes global warming. We can change all that if we actually put our minds to it but we can't just start with one person, we need a lot of people. We can start by stopping buying so much houses/land and stop using so many cars. First of all, we can reduce the amount of houses/lands we buy by living in apartments or just owning one house. Many people like big houses but what's with all the rooms? It's too spacious and it takes up a lot of land which involves the logging of a lot of trees to make big/single houses. We shouldn't log/waste so many trees because trees take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. That's important because we have a lot of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere due to factories, burning of things, cars and many other of our daily activities. Also, when we buy land, people most likely build buildings or houses on it and that includes a lot of trees. And trees are also homes to many animals so when we tear down trees, we're stripping animals from their homes. People think that animals can find new trees to live in but animals can't find new trees to live in if we keep cutting down trees. We've killed out a lot of Earth's forests by cutting down trees. So in conclusion, we should stop buying houses/land because there's a lot of carbon dioxide in the air, animals are stripped of their homes and a lot of our forests are gone because of all the logging. Lastly, we can stop using cars by carpooling, bicycling, walking or public transportation. We can ride in the same cars as friends/co-workers/family when we are going to the same destination. Even though it seems like a lot of work just to drive around and pick people up just to get to the same destination, it helps a lot because there's less carbon dioxide released into the air. We can learn how to ride bikes because it's a good exercise and it doesn't release any form of greenhouse gas. We should start walking more because a lot of people are becoming obese because of all the junk food and fast food chains in our country and it's really relaxing to walk. It's true that public transportation is slow but we can get a time schedule for buses and subways or we can just go to our destinations a bit earlier. Many people think it's not worth it but all in all, it'll be worth it in a few years because there will be less carbon dioxide released into the air. Therefore, we should use public transportation and stop using cars because it releases a lot of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In conclusion, we should stop logging so many trees and start carpooling or using other ways of transportation besides driving by ourselves because they all cause a lot of carbon dioxide to be released in the air. Trees take away carbon dioxide and give us the air to breathe but we keep logging them, so there's really few trees left compared a long time ago. Cars create carbon dioxide but if we carpool, it releases less carbon dioxide in the air. Public transportation is better because it's one big car/van that drops a lot of people off close to their desired destination. I hope that everyone will make a change and try to save Earth because it's a really beautiful planet. | |
